In Colombia its very used the slang word “parche”; if you search the term in the dictionary you would find that just means “patch”, but in this country, it has an altogether more useful meaning too.
As you can not find the exact English translation for Colombians slang use of “parche”, it has different means: “a group of friends getting together to do something” and it deppends on the situation and the context that you are involved.

For example: Spanish: Nosotros siempre parchamos en el parque Meaning: “We always hang out in the park”. “estar desparchado” means; is the way to describe someone who hasn’t got much going on in their social life, and who is probably a bit down as a result. for example: Spanish: lo tipico: cuando estoy desparchado, hace sol; después me sale un buen plan con mis amigos y llueve. Meaning: “Typical. When I’ve got nothing going on, it’s sunny outside. Later, something good comes up with my friends and it rains”.
